no no don’t call save all the words that line us up it’s almost behind me so skip all the talk we have like one common between the earth and the moon can you say you miss me? not so sure? not so soon? some loves are lessons in our own behavior you figure it out through somebody else the mystery lies in where it all falls away sometimes it’s a day and your lesson’s passed I’m out on a limb, it used to be our limb favor who you want, it doesn’t touch me I can’t say that I’m not used to the leave-out even so, I never get used to the doubt it shines me out some loves are lessons in our own behavior you figure it out through somebody else you take the chance and have it all fall away in the sickest of hearts that lesson lasts some loves are lessons in our own behavior you figure it all out through somebody else you take the chance and have it all fall away in the sickest of hearts that lesson lasts in the sickest of hearts that lesson lasts in the sickest of hearts that lesson lasts

I’d rather exist in a family of strangers than live in the midst of familial strangeness which one of you taught the rest the way to play this? take me out of the running I’m running out and I’m running out now, everyone learns in a way that’s specific to their own direction, the truths that they own what lesson is left if your manner is always in the right? just take me out of the running I’m running out and I’m running and in lieu of the assembly from me to you, straight from my heart this clear and everlasting memory watch while I take your world apart I’m painting your portrait from my intuition you contour, your structure, as if it were mine the vacancy behind your eyes gets me every time you always were in the running keep running, get running and in lieu of the assembly from me to you, straight from my heart this loud and ever-present question how does your world look all apart? you sycophants, you sick fucks, you losers you hustlers, you shakers, you movers you troublers, you anti-improvers I’m calling you sycophants, you sick fucks, you losers you hustlers, you shakers, you movers you troublers, you anti-improvers I’m calling you sycophants, you sick fucks, you losers you hustlers, you shakers, you movers you troublers, you anti-improvers I’m calling you sycophants, you sick fucks, you losers you hustlers, you shaker-shake your booties you troublers, you anti-improvers I’m calling you

hey love, hey can you hear me? I’ve got a theory I think that you’d love (and do you love me?) it’s all about endings, everything pending something about doom, or was it tombs? I, I’ve got no time I’ll stick with the brave men I’ll stand by the grave men I’m waiting in line you know I’ve got friends to meet hey love, you never can guess who will be the next best some monsters are gods these days in some ways I, I see what they’re saying I’ve sure seen them pay into what they could be but, let them be love, love you and me we’ll stick with the brave men I’ll stand by your grave and sing songs about spring ‘til I’m cold and I’ll swear by you and the flowers I’ll recognize power for what it can be I’ll walk down these streets the same ones that made you and gave you to me and I’ll know that the road the high road has been paved in teeth (thank you)

he said, “orphan is not a word to throw around” I said, “come on, it’s the perfect word for such a fucking train wreck. and since when do you hear everything coming out of my mouth? If I had known that'd been the case if I’d known, if I’d known” cool down, little girl you’re just asking for trouble this ain’t your world and you don’t speak the language so just look around do you see any faces like yours? faces like yours? no? I fell in love at the age when you can’t have what you want for it fell away right before my heart couldn’t take it anymore but it never leaves me, I can still see his face in my own if I had known that would be the case if I’d known, if I’d known cool down, little girl you’re just asking for trouble this ain’t your world and they don’t speak your language so listen around do you hear any voices like yours? voices like yours? no? should I be more afraid here? should I be asking why? should I consider answers before more questions fly? I don’t see forward that well I see behind just fine and I know what I did wrong now I know which mistakes were mine so cool down, little girl you’re just dancing with trouble and this ain’t your world and you’re wasting your language so just wait it out and remember the choice here is yours the choice here is yours it’s all about you

Take Me Home 02:33
if my words were working I’d do my best to say “take me home” I can’t keep on living this kind of family way with you, but always on my own I hear ‘em singin’ out there somebody called my name my soul needs to give an answer back ‘cause I’ve been making do with these harmonies for one I just heard the voices that I lack third, fourth, fifth, and seventh take me I am ready ten years of standing, waiting for you to place the blame then tack on six or seven for you to speak the name I’m through with all my counting, I’ve said all I can say by now you just might get it; I’m leaving anyway if my words were working I’d do my best to say “take me home” that road leads to nowhere it’s no place that I can stay with you, but always on my own

Be the One 05:43
my army has not one division no above, no below, no between my constitution has solely one author we work towards one vision and reach for one dream when we are presented with conflict we act as one body, one deep breath, one team no outside intrusion has made it in no one gets beyond this great wall that you see but where are you in the late night? can I call you to meet me somewhere? just like a movie on war, all sienna tones I’ll be the one with the curls in my hair how is life in the spotlight? does the world look the same from up there? or just like a movie, all mirrors? all mirrors and fare are you still the one? are you still the one? my army's awake with our eyes closed no struggle, no story, we hold to no fear we give all we get to the good cause no martyrs, no glory, let go of no tears when we hear the call we will be there as brothers, as sisters, as equals, as peers my army has not one division no above or below; we are all strong-born here will you still be where I left you? all alone in the lightest of rains? just like a movie, will you wave from the train? and I’ll be the one on the platform again? or have you finally found home? might today vanish into the air? and just like a movie, you’ll tell me you’ll tell me you still care but will you still be the one? will you still be the one? the one?
7.
hey Emil, I can’t find a way to get back where you used to be beneath my borrowed stars hey Emil, you know that night up in my room just kids, you sang for me? I still miss who I was and we never phone and you’ll always know him and almost me almost me almost me hey Emil, I could tell you things about my life that you don’t know I wonder about yours hey Emil, did you know that I made music too? yeah, my brother and me hey, I could sing for you, just listen ‘cause this one’s for you hey Emil, you got so quiet hey Emil, you’re so far away hey Emil, do you remember? hey Emil, I can’t find my way

Evensong 03:18
dear loved ones, don’t ask or say what you think you know about me oh loved ones, when you get this I’ll already be where nobody knows about me and I’ll say: you can learn the words you can move your hands you can even sing along what you don’t quite get is where I draw upon for my always, ever evensong you’ll keep my picture you’ll focus on my steady eyes blind to the movement just behind I couldn’t tell you but would you have heard me anyway? my insides were like electric lines and I’d say: I love all your words I love how you move your hands and in my room, I sing along (I love to sing along with you) I think I understand where you draw upon for your always, ever, evensong we're not just our words we're not how we move our hands it’s not enough to sing along I’m going where I’ll find something to draw upon for my always, ever evensong you can learn the words you can move your hands you can even sing along you don't understand where I draw upon for my always, ever evensong you can learn my words you can move your hands you can even sing along you don't understand where I draw upon for my always, ever evensong

there could have been an accident you could have launched yourself into the great divide now, couldn’t you? I watched the sky turn crazy red I was so sure I saw your face among the glow but, it was mine if my middle name is “danger” then yours must be “give-me-some-new-way-to-make-a-hole” it fits you fine so where does the concept come from? an unending well of bad minds working all the time with the assumption we’re all blind? oh no we got the evidence we got the energy we got the honest movement we got a plan to prevent no better day to do it so shut up your mouth and prove it ‘cause we got the evidence and we got the enemy this time you’re loud as hell, but did you mean to tell me something close to kind? you deafen me, not that I mind should I respond with something nice? you know that I don’t work that way I’ve told you one, I’ve yelled it twice now, say there had been a casualty let’s say that it’s you instead of me would the world survive so great a loss? well I can only speak for myself, the child in question, the cripple and I think the weight is lifting I can feel the balance shifting, because we got the evidence and we got the energy we got the honest movement we got a plan to prevent no better day to do it so shut up your mouth and prove it ‘cause we got the evidence and we got the enemy this time we got the evidence we got the energy we got the honest movement we got a plan to prevent no better day to do it so shut up your mouth and prove it ‘cause we got the evidence, oh and we got the enemy this time this time this time this time
10.
if not another day was spent in self-defense in writing the scripture if not another night was lost to fear fears about living if I could bring the outside inside if I could pull the stars down just for you if I could make my words the right kind if I could make you understand that how we live what we want the way we give and who we are make it so the strength of us should be enough always and never are just the same leaving my lips as a promise to you from this day on, when you say my name I will be there, I'll be there always and never are just the same leaving my lips as a promise to you from this day on, when you say my name I will be there if I could always make you smile, make you laugh keep your heart guessing if I could never let you down, but pick you up keep lifting you higher if I could make the sun shine brighter enough to warm the side of your sweet face if I could make your soul feel lighter if I could keep you always young if you could never feel alone, or without love yeah, without the answers if every melody on earth could play for you—play just for you if “ever after” were a real time and “never-never’ were a place that you could go if every rainbow led to somewhere if every dream would turn to gold then how we live and what we want the way we give and who we are make it so the strength of us should be enough always and never are just the same leaving my lips as a promise to you from this day on, when you say my name I will be there, I will be there always and never are just the same leaving my lips as a promise to you from this day on, when you say my name I will be there
